Next weekend the small village of Dennery in Saint Lucia will come alive with conversations pertaining to ‘excellence’.
I had to look up the word “asymptotic” as I wasn’t familiar with the word in that form, but could guess what it should be based on the title of the lecture “Excellence: An Asymptotic Journey Towards Perfection.”
This is what I found. The Collins English Dictionary adjective definition suited best: (of a function, series, formula, etc) approaching a given value or condition, as a variable or an expression containing a variable approaches a limit, usually infinity.
Those who are familiar with former Principal of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, Urban Dolor, will know they have an interesting and challenging lecture ahead.
