This week I talk to Caris Rianne, a film director who balances her passion for filmmaking with a full time job.

Caris strives to provide opportunities for women in film, and has done this ever since setting up Rianne Pictures in 2013. Last year, she worked with over 50 actors and 80% of them were women. This year she is producing two short films, both of which are directed by women, as well as reporting on female directors at Sundance and researching into sexual harassment within the UK film industry.

Her work has been nominated for 13 awards and has been showcased in the UK, US and Europe and Canada.
