I bet you didn’t know this…Becoming a businessman is Zack Fortag’s birthright. Although “no angel” at school, Zack always had his eye on the prize, starting out selling sweets, moving on to trading FIFA coins and match Attax cards before graduating to car boot sales – earning £300 per weekend.
Nearly 18 months ago, he followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather to set up his own business – Ahead of Time – a multi-purpose clothing brand which is a platform for young entrepreneurs to grow their skills. Starting with cool hats, originally designed by Zack, the much-expanded range is now created by a team of eight teenage designers; sold out in the three stores they supply in the USA and employs more than 20 15 to 17-year-olds from London to Essex.
Isn’t that amazing? That’s why he’s my guest this week, along with his Manager Romario Brisset.
