One of my favourite people recently celebrated her 70th birthday.

Dame Pearlette Louisy is St Lucia’s Governor General and chair person of the Nobel Laureate Committee. As the Committee’s Co-ordinater I have spent a lot of time with Dame Pearlette and admire her tenacity, her constant strive to make the most and best of situations, but she also has the most infectious laugh and sense of humour that makes it a joy to work with her.

Everyone who knows her can relate to everything I’ve said, and more I’m sure!
