Described as ‘a fresh new take on soul and pop’ singer songwriter Rene Byrd has set the international music industry by storm, having performed for prime ministers, haute couture fashionistas in Paris and graced the BET America stage with daughter of a legend, Tracee Ellis Ross.

Music is in her blood – her father was a producer and her uncle is a Gospel artist – but besides her powerful voice, Rene is a force to be reckoned with as she juggles singing with being ambassador for The Nelson Mandela’s Children’s Fund.

With the latest single from her EP, ‘Never Never Never’ featuring John Holt experiencing global rotation, Rene joins Delia Dolor on The Dolor Factor on Thursday 26 May at 9am (GMT) to talk her inspirations in life and music, the art of perseverance and being labelled a ‘humanitarian’.
