School days are some of the best days of our lives, yet we don’t always realise this when we’re attending. I was reminded of that when I met friends I’d attended secondary school with. It had been upto 20 years, maybe even 30 years, that I’d seen one or two of them.

We hugged, laughed, reminisced, and ate ice lollies, drank wine and other treats my 50+ (in age) school friends brought.

Suddenly, one of them asked, “Delia, do you realise we left school 40 years ago?” NO WAY….I was shocked. I did the sums…She was right. I’m still in shock.

We are planning a 40th anniversary reunion and no matter where I am in this world, I’ve got to be there.
